Dustin Purdy is a passionate mathematics educator with over 17 years of experience teaching math in rural, urban, and online settings. He is a former teacher in the NYC Department of Education. He has taught grades 6-12 and has also taught college courses. He is a NYS Certified 5-12 Math Teacher experienced with the CC and NextGen Learning Standards.

He is passionate about transforming mathematics education; teaching growth mindset in mathematics; and creating an equitable and inclusive space where all students can learn, grow and thrive. Dustin is beginning his journey as a Mathematics Teacher Trainer and Instructional Coach.

Dustin received his Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Polytech University and his Masters Degree in Adolescence Education: Mathematics 7-12 from SUNY Cortland. He also has a 5-6 extension.
